• This directory includes world wide web pages that have content about Silicon Valley, the greater San Francisco Bay Area, the computer and semiconductor industries, or that have content that would be of specific interest to the residents of this area.

• Pages should have a high level of information content.

• Commercial web pages are not included. Exceptions are made for pages that have a broad and general interest to the residents of or visitors to the area. Examples are convention centers, hotels, and amusement parks. Exceptions are made only when a non-commercial web page is not available. Commercial web pages may advertise in our directory.

• In our Computer Industry Companies section, we include the websites of over 800 computer and semiconductor companies located in Silicon Valley. We include these web pages because these are the primary local industries and are of particular interest to most of our residents. We are currently listing only major software and hardware companies, and internet service providers located in and providing services to Silicon Valley..

• In our Computer Industry Companies section, we also list over 1,100 computer companies outside of Silicon Valley because these companies are either partners or competitors of our local companies.

• In our Business Services and Resources section we list companies which provide services and/or products to the hi-tech industries and services for individuals of general interest such as financial services which includes banks, credit unions, and credit card companies..

• In our Legal and Trade Group sections, and other similar sections, we include pages that provide information useful to the Silicon Valley resident even though it may not be about specific local resources.

• We also would like submissions for our Eureka! Internet Search Engine. We are expanding the number and types of search engines in Eureka! If you have one or know of one you think we should include, please submit it.

• If your site does not qualify for a regular listing in our directory, you can still get your home page listed in two other ways:
  • First, you can set up a link from your home page to our home page. If your site meets our standards, we will then list your home page that links to our site in our section that is titled: Check Out our References - Great Web Sites that Link to our Home Page. Just send us the URL of your page where you have us linked and we will check it out.
  • The other way you can get your site listed which does not otherwise qualify for a regular listing is to buy advertising on our web site at a very nominal low fee. In this way, you can get your home page listed in Our Sponsors section.

• We list only web pages which are suitable for viewing by people of all ages, including childen.

• We reserve the right to select or reject any site for inclusion in our directory.

• By electing to send a submission or any other message to me, who is the providers of the Silicon Valley Web Directory service, you agree and acknowledge that all information contained in your message, including feedback data, such as questions, comments, suggestions, or similar items, shall be deemed to be non-confidential and I shall have no obligation of any kind with respect to such information and shall be free to use, disclose, reproduce, and distribute the information to others without any limitation. Furthermore, I shall be free to use any ideas, concepts, devices, know-how or techniques contained in such information for any purpose whatsoever, including, but not limited to, developing, manufacturing and marketing products incorporating such information.

• We will attempt to respond to all submissions and suggestions, but if the volume of submissions is so great that we cannot, we hope that you will understand.

• Important. Please include the URL for your site submission. The URL should be on a line by itself so that we can easily copy it and link to it. Also, provide a brief description of why you think it is an appropriate site to be listed in our directory.

• Although reciprocal links are not required for a listing in our directory, we would appreciate a link from your page to our page if we list your page in our directory. This also makes good business sense because our link page is organized in a hierarchical index and is searchable with our search engine so it generates good traffic to linking websites. In fact, we would love a link from your page even if it is not listed here. If everyone did this, we would all enjoy having many more visitors to our pages.
