- Michael Churilla - Born 08, Nov 1798 in Vysny Hrusov, Slovakia
- Father of Michael, Stephan, Susanna, George, Andreas, Peter, Joannes, Susanna, Maria, and Joannes. Double names because they died young and they would name other children for them.
- Stephan Churilla - Born 20 Aug 1824 in Vysny Hrusov, Slovakia - Father of my great-grandfather Michael
- Michael Churilla - Born 01 Jun 1862 in Vysny Hrusov, Slovakia - My great-grandfather
- Father of by 2nd wife Susan (in birth order): Michael, John, Susan, Elizabeth, Andrew, Stephen,George, Joseph, Mary, Paul, and Frank
- And by a 1st wife, father of Anna and Mary
The 1880's to 1910's
- Michael Churilla, My paternal grandfather, was a 2nd generation American, his parents
arriving in the United States in the 1870's from Slovakia, then a part of the Austria-Hungarian Empire.
- My Great Grandfather, Michael Churilla,
in 1902 at 40 years of age (born in 1862). Photo was taken in the back yard of his home in
Columbia, West Virginia.
- My maternal grandparents, the Ray Smetanas, were first generation Americans, arriving in
the United States in the 1890s from Slovakia, then a part of the Austria-Hungarian Empire.
- My father grew up in Homestead, Pennsylvania.

- My Mother grew up on Maytide Street in Overbrook, Pennsylvania, a neighborhood in Pittsburgh.
- This is a photo of the home where my mother was born on Maytide Street in 1919.
- A better view of this home after expansion located at 422 Maytide Street which has since burned down.
- My Granddad built another home after the fire at 745 Maytide Street.

The 1960's

- Several of my most formative years were spent at Wilbraham & Monson Academy in western Massachusetttes.

I went to graduate school at the University of New Mexico in 1967
My Second job after college - IBM Corporation - January, 1968
The 1970's
Left IBM to Work for a Stock Brokerage Firm in Princeton, NJ
