Alta Vista is offering this alternative search engine to be more competitive.
This is a leaner and faster version of Alta Vista, but the results are similar, if not the
same, as Alta Vista. It has a number of customization options, but they require the
use of cookies. We have incorporated some of the better options on this form and
it does not require cookies. The family filter did not seem to be very effective and
I could not detect much difference between the terse and verbose options. At the time
of this writing, Raging Search had been released only the day before so I suspect these might
be bugs that will be eventually resolved.
