Gee-Wiz! will immediately look familiar to you because it's a directory made in the Yahoo mold. But there are differences. I liked the catagories more here, but they aren't as well populated. This means it is nowhere near as comprehensive as Yahoo, but on the other hand, it doesn't seem to have as much junk in it. The submission process is similar to Yahoo but I'll bet you won't have to wait months to get listed. There is a FAQ that tells you How To use Gee-Wiz! Search. There is even a FAQ that answers the question When Should I Search Gee-Wiz? I'm not sure this engine is quite ready for prime time. When I tried some of the search options other than "the web" I got Internal Server Error more than once. (9/8/99)
